18 months

I cannot believe I am actually blogging about my baby being 18 months old. She is getting so big, so prissy, and so smart!! She is full of life right now and we absolutely LOVE it!! Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers during her surgery.. she was a little angel and everything went well. God is so good to us!!
Things Tay can do:
completely feed herself (with utensils)
climb onto the couch and get herself back off
get in and out of her wagon all by herself
brush her teeth
repeat abc's and 123's(not say them alone, just repeat them)
get herself into the carseat
color
climb up and down steps
blow bubbles
say her own name
Words/Sentences:
"I got you"
"I love you"
"Fix it mommy"
"Go outside"
"Thank you"
"Daddy golf, Daddy work"
"No, no, Kane!! Get Back"
Taylor can say so many words that she is starting to make sentences with them and put more words together. She can name all our family members, all kids in her class, friends and friend's children, animals, animal noises. She knows what people go together and can name people by looking at pictures. She is starting to say color words and shapes... of course she repeats after me, but she knows!! She loves playing outside almost to the point of destruction. We fight with her every night to come in.. and she cries every time!! I guess it doesn't help that there are windows/french doors all around our house.. she constantly stands there saying "outside". Funny, but true: Taylor is the QUEEN of bubbles. I have never met anyone that was as fascinated with them as Taylor. She calls the clouds bubbles and screams out loud to them in the car!! She is so busy she really never stops to watch tv very long, or listen to a book, or sit and color. She LOVES to dance.... and does it pretty well!! Although she loves all these things, she doesn't SIT very long!! She is truly a gift from GOD and we are so thankful for her everyday!! Her cutest thing at the moment: she tells everyone to sit: Sit momma, sit daddy, sit kane, sit.... whoever is around ... she tries to be the boss. I am teaching her to repeat "I Love You" and do the motions... she says it.. but we almost never get past the first part pointing to our eyes for "I" she starts to name all the other body parts.. and then shouts "you" real loud for the last part. (same thing with abc's.. we have to skip the letter i because she gets side-tracked!!) She is as sassy as they come, but also as rough and tough as they come!! She is definitley a mix of both!! We could not imagine our lives without this beautiful child!! Happy 18 months Tay!! ( a few days late :0 )

Prayer Request!!!!!!

My sweet baby is having tubes put in her ears TOMORROW!! I now this is supposed to be a simple procedure, that is so common...... BUT is is totally different when it's your child! We have had several friends and family members who have recently had tubes, and they were all great!! This will be tough for our family for the simple fact of having Taylor put to sleep.
On the other hand, this will be a BLESSING when it is all over. Poor baby is the biggest trooper EVER. We never really know when her ears are infected because she doesn't show the normal signs.... but OH have they been infected week after week. I ask that you say a prayer that Taylor does well and that her mommy and daddy can be patient while she is having the surgery!! God has been so GOOD to us and I KNOW that she will be watched carefully by HIM!!!

Airport....

This was Taylor's first time to ride in an airplane!! She loved to watch the planes at the airport. She did very well on our flight to and from Orlando. She was such a trooper!! We had so much fun on our trip to Orlando... and really enjoyed staying with my mom!! There are tons of pics to follow... we will remember this trip for a really long time!!!

The Park in Orlando

Yes, Lexi was with us... but she was asleep in the car with my mom!!

Hanging out at San-San's in Orlando

Taylor and Lexi

blowing bubbles with daddy... i don't think i have ever met a child that loves bubbles as much as tay does!!

she had to carry around her "own" bubbles

the girls all had matching pj's... they were so cute!! they were all bathed and ready for bed, but as you can see, none of them were ready for bed!!

bubbles, bubbles, bubbles...

trying to get a pic of all the girls.. but the weren't too interested!!

taking a break... we played outside FOREVER!!!

SEA WORLD

Taylor loved the twirl-around ride.. she kept saying "wheee" while we were high in the air

this was probably taylor's favorite attraction.. and it was the first thing we saw when we walked in.... DUCKS... she loves ducks!!

daddy rode the next ride with tay alone... she loved this one, too. my child has no FEAR!!! take note of drew and madyson behing them

Tay and mommy at the Shamu show

we sat down to eat lunch and there were ducks walking around everywhere.. so of course.. tay is watching them like a hawk!!

these penguins were the CUTEST thing.. tay kept calling them "dog" and "reese"(the wamble's dog)

tay and madyson reaching over to touch the water in teh fountain

this was so cool to be able to see these dolphins up close

the carousel... again with daddy

taylor was truly amazed.. she called all the dolphins and whatever else was swimming around.. "fishies" "fishies"

taylor would not leave this bird alone.. she kept laughing at it.....

Taylor, Madyson, and Lexi's ride for the day... they were so good at staying in the car and not walking.. we thought we were going to have a hard time keeping taylor from walking, but she did very well!!

the shamu show... taylor watched the first 10 minutes, then she decided it was nap time and sacked out for the rest of the show... i know i have told you before, but this child does NOT miss a nap... she loves a routine!!
We had an awesome time at Sea World!!! Taylor really enjoyed all the attractions and had so much fun. I was afraid that she was a little too young for all this, but she is the perfect age!! She really got excited and had a ball!! I am so glad we were able to take her on this trip!!

The Zoo

We went to the zoo this past weekend with Kayla, the twins, Lydia, and Lily. Taylor loved being around the babies and decided she would stay in her stroller because the babies were in theirs!! THANK YOU TAYLOR!!! If any of you know how Tay is... she hates to be strapped down in the stroller, she has to be able to walk!! This was a nice treat for me to be able to actually stroll her!!

Tay riding the carousel. She amazes me!! She knew exactly what to do when we got on. She grabbed the pole and sat there.... and we have never been on a carousel before!!

We had fun riding the train. I think Taylor must have been taking it all in because she didn't make a peep until we went past the ducks and she said "quack, quack".... which led to... "bye-bye duck" She loves to tell everything bye-bye. We leave school and she goes through all the names in the car saying bye to them and then bye-bye- school!! She is a mess!!

This is Taylor looking at the monkey!!

Afterwards, we all came back to our house and grilled out. The babies did VERY well.. all 3 of them. Taylor walked around putting bibs on them and shoving pacifiers in their mouths when they didn't really want them. She loves babies and enjoyed having them here. We all had a great time!! Thanks guys for coming to visit!!

Taylor was dying to hold the baby like her mommy... so she finally got a chance to. She did great, the only problem was.. she didn't want to stop holding her, so I had to make sure we kept her head up.

I had to throw this pic in here. This is Taylor before church Sunday. I finally got a pick with a bow in her hair.. she loves to pull them out!!

Taylor's First Haircut!!!

Taylor hair was starting to get in bad shape!! It is getting longer, but only in the back. Her hair is really fine right now, so it's hard to keep it looking descent when she wakes up in the morning. She hates for me to put it in a ponytail, so I have now started pulling it up, just on top. She doesn't seem to mind that!!
She did great with her haircut. It took about 4 minutes and she was DONE!! Ms. Courtney gave her a little duck fuzzy pen to play with and Taylor mind was concentrated on that. She just trimmed it in the back, but we got a little certificate and kept some of her hair!! Man she is growing up fast!!!

Birthday Party Fun!!!!

She would have never worn this hat all day had I put it on her!! Mrs. Erin put the hats on and Tay never touched it!! Surprise, surprise.

A little boy gave Tay a truck and she sat down to play with it.. all she did was make the truck noise.. brrrrrrrrr... and she was done, back up and running around.

Can you tell how much this child enjoys cupcakes? She definitiely takes after her momma on this one, I have a huge sweet tooth!!! All the other kids were picking at theirs and taking little bites, NOT TAY!!!

She loves balloons about as much as she loves cupcakes!!! She chased after these for a while and then she realized she couldn't have them... so she quit trying!! She did laugh at them for a while thinking taht they were running away from her when the wind was blowing!! What an imagination!!

Taylor and the birthday girl with her two cousins... how did Tay end up in this picture?? Who knows!! Sophie, the birthday girl, is in Taylor's class at school. She really liked Sophie, who turned 2!! She ran around after her all day, mainly because she had those squeaky shoes on and Taylor LOVED them. I would love for her to have a pair, but I'm not sure I could handle the squeaking all the time, so I would probably take the squeaker OUT!!!! LOL!!! It was a beautiful day for a birthday party..... and we are heading back this afternoon to the ZOO!!!!
