ASH WEDNESDAY!!!!!

We went to church last night for Ash Wednesday. It was a really good service and Taylor was such an angel!! In the Catholic Church.. you get the sign of the cross on your forehead.. in ashes.. to celebrate the start of the Lenton Season. Taylor got her first "ashes" on her head last night and it was so funny. She flipped her head around when they did it (because she is so sassy!!). This year... I have decided to give up sweets for lent. It has already been tough because I really LOVE anything sweet.. especially CANDY!! and Valentine's day is coming up... and you know it's candy galore at school!! But, I am very happy to do it. I tried to snap a pic of Taylor with the ashes on her head.. but by the time we got home.. the ashes were almost gone and she was really tired!! We are so proud of her.. for being so good at church last night!! That's probably the BEST she has been yet.. AWAKE!! It's amazing how the smallest things mean SO much!!

Okay.. is there ANY resemblance with the two of us?? EVERYONE says Taylor bug looks JUST like her daddy.. and of course she does.. but I personally think she looks like me a little.. okay maybe just a tad!! ha.

Little Ones!!!

Our friends, Jerry and Vanessa have a daughter, Rhaegan, who is a month older than Taylor. They brought her over to watch the Super Bowl last night. She is such a good baby. We had fun playing with them.

Taylor had a cute little cheerleading outfit on for the game.. but of course she spit up all over it, so all that was left were the pants. We didn't take her pic soon enough.. :)

Yesterday was errand day for us!! My friend, Kayla, and I went to visit baby Jackson.. with Taylor of course. We then headed out for some shopping time...... for Taylor not mommy!! James and I decided to go to church last night so that I could get things ready for the Super Bowl today. Church was an exciting adventure! She normally cooperates on Sunday mornings, but Taylor was WIDE AWAKE and as loud as she could be last night. She really enjoyed talking to the older couple sitting behind us.. so we decided to head up to the cry room so we wouldn't disturb anyone. WEll.... that backfired! We are normally the only ones.. maybe 2 others up there on Sunday mornings. Last night, there were about 7 children up there with parents. They were running around, throwing cheerios, and stomping.... needless to say.. Taylor loved it and we got nothing out of the mass. We now know there is a LONG road ahead of us when Taylor decides to crawl.. or walk!!

TGIF.....

You know the old saying.. Thank Goodness It's Friday!!! Well, it's true for us!! The super bowl is approaching fast.. we are hosting the party at our house, so I have lots to do this weekend... like CLEAN!!! It's not easy to keep up the house with a little one around. It seems like there is always a mess somewhere.. but I am finding ways to do stuff here and there!! Super Bowl is a happy time for our group of friends because our husbands are so obsessed with football... I mean really crazy about it!! So, there is always lots of noise and racket... guess we will see how it turns out this year!!

DADDY'S LITTLE GIRL!!!!!

James is absolutely crazy about his little girl!! EVERYONE that we know always tells us that Taylor looks just like James... no one ever says she looks like her mommy!! James is so proud of that. (he would never admit it.. but we know he is!) Taylor is so alert in the morning! I guess she got that from us because we are very early birds. She is at her best in the morning. Here, she has just had her bath and is all ready for school!! What a life.. just to PLAY and HAVE FUN!!!

WELCOME BABY JACKSON !!!!

Our friends, Adam and Mary, had a baby boy today!! He weighed 7 lbs and 9 oz and was 20 inches long. He is precious!! We went to visit them in the hospital.. after taking Taylor to the doctor.. and they are doing great!! Congrats Adam and Mary!! I know you guys are so proud to have him here!!

4 month Check-up and SHOTS!!!!

Taylor had her 4 month old check-up today!! She weighs 14.9 lbs and is 25 inches long. She is doing well. She got two different shots today with 5 different medicines. She was pretty good... she played for the whole hour that we waited in the doctor's office.. then screamed when it was time to get her shots.. but luckily the screaming stopped about 2 minutes afterwards!! Her daddy had to hold her little legs so that she wouldn't squirm all over the table. Did I mention that she is a busy body?????? She flops and wiggles ALL over the place!! The nurse just laughed at how much she was wiggling and playing RIGHT before they stuck her. Hmmm.. don't want their job. Ha.

Weekend Wrap-Up !!!!

This weekend has been so realxing!! James couldn't play golf yesterday because of the rain, so we all loaded up and went to Hattiesburg to run some errands.... much needed errands!! Taylor is a pretty good shopper as long as she can see everything!!! She is really nosy.. or should I say CURIOUS.... This is Taylor taking it easy.. a break from school and play!!

Taylor is growing so fast!! She is almost 18 weeks old.... and continuing to grow before our eyes!! She amazes us everyday with different things she does!! She is now trying to sit up on her own, eating baby food, and talking ALL the time!! She loves to play in her exersaucer and puts EVERYTHING in her mouth.. needless to say she is teething... and drooling all over the place!! So much fun...

Taylor's First Snow......

Who would have thought we would get this much snow in Laurel, MS???? Not us!! It snowed for several hours (practically ALL morning long) last Saturday!! We ended up with 2 1/2 inches of snow on the ground. It was so pretty... but it kept us indoors for most of the weekend. We still had snow on the ground two days later.. but it gradually melted! Taylor really isn't big enough to go "play" in the snow, so we just took pics with her. She really had no clue what was going on.. but it was fun!! James' parents came down Friday night to visit, and luckily, they got to enjoy the snow with us!!

Okay... so I really enjoy keeping up with friends through their blog pages.. so I decided to start one of my own!!! I really have no clue what I am doing, so ANY advice would be greatly appreciated!! I hope to learn more soon so I can start posting fun things and keep you up to date with our family... you know things are always busy around here with a baby!!
