The Zoo

We went to the zoo this past weekend with Kayla, the twins, Lydia, and Lily. Taylor loved being around the babies and decided she would stay in her stroller because the babies were in theirs!! THANK YOU TAYLOR!!! If any of you know how Tay is... she hates to be strapped down in the stroller, she has to be able to walk!! This was a nice treat for me to be able to actually stroll her!!


Tay riding the carousel. She amazes me!! She knew exactly what to do when we got on. She grabbed the pole and sat there.... and we have never been on a carousel before!!

We had fun riding the train. I think Taylor must have been taking it all in because she didn't make a peep until we went past the ducks and she said "quack, quack".... which led to... "bye-bye duck" She loves to tell everything bye-bye. We leave school and she goes through all the names in the car saying bye to them and then bye-bye- school!! She is a mess!!

Afterwards, we all came back to our house and grilled out. The babies did VERY well.. all 3 of them. Taylor walked around putting bibs on them and shoving pacifiers in their mouths when they didn't really want them. She loves babies and enjoyed having them here. We all had a great time!! Thanks guys for coming to visit!!

Taylor was dying to hold the baby like her mommy... so she finally got a chance to. She did great, the only problem was.. she didn't want to stop holding her, so I had to make sure we kept her head up.

Taylor's First Haircut!!!

Taylor hair was starting to get in bad shape!! It is getting longer, but only in the back. Her hair is really fine right now, so it's hard to keep it looking descent when she wakes up in the morning. She hates for me to put it in a ponytail, so I have now started pulling it up, just on top. She doesn't seem to mind that!!

She did great with her haircut. It took about 4 minutes and she was DONE!! Ms. Courtney gave her a little duck fuzzy pen to play with and Taylor mind was concentrated on that. She just trimmed it in the back, but we got a little certificate and kept some of her hair!! Man she is growing up fast!!!

Birthday Party Fun!!!!

She would have never worn this hat all day had I put it on her!! Mrs. Erin put the hats on and Tay never touched it!! Surprise, surprise.


A little boy gave Tay a truck and she sat down to play with it.. all she did was make the truck noise.. brrrrrrrrr... and she was done, back up and running around.

Can you tell how much this child enjoys cupcakes? She definitiely takes after her momma on this one, I have a huge sweet tooth!!! All the other kids were picking at theirs and taking little bites, NOT TAY!!!

She loves balloons about as much as she loves cupcakes!!! She chased after these for a while and then she realized she couldn't have them... so she quit trying!! She did laugh at them for a while thinking taht they were running away from her when the wind was blowing!! What an imagination!!

She really liked Sophie, who turned 2!! She ran around after her all day, mainly because she had those squeaky shoes on and Taylor LOVED them. I would love for her to have a pair, but I'm not sure I could handle the squeaking all the time, so I would probably take the squeaker OUT!!!! LOL!!! It was a beautiful day for a birthday party..... and we are heading back this afternoon to the ZOO!!!!

Big Girl

this is my nosy.... almost 18 month old child!!! she is so curious about everything, and so VERY independent


we went out for dinner last night and tay thinks she is too big for the highchair. she wanted to sit on the bench like mommy and daddy..... she thinks she is grown, so of course her dadddy lets her :0 by the way..... she LOVES her daddy!!!!!

she has completely destroyed the table by this time..... it's so embarrassing to see what all tay leaves behind at the restauraunt, but she has fun and that's all that matters!!!

Bye Bye High-Chair.... Hello Table!!!

Well, I think the title speaks for itself!! Taylor was getting entirely too big for her high chair, so we bought her a little picnic table to go in the kitchen. She LOVES it!! She runs to it and says "eat" and sits down like a big girl. Of course we have the awful battle of Kane trying to pry food from her fingertips, but for the most part, Taylor will say"No Kane" ,"Get Back". She is talking sooooo much right now. She repeats EVERYTHING that comes out of our mouth and doesn't forget a thing. If you tell her let's go.... she is ready to do it!! (and doesn't stop saying it until you finally let her) Anyway, she has grown into a little girl right before our eyes and it is so much fun to inteact with her at this age. We can actually carry on a conversation with her by asking questions and she answers. She knows exactly what she wants and exactly ho to get it from.... Daddy!! She fills ours hearts with joy every day!!!!

Happy Mardi Gras!!!!!

Taylor's school had a Mardi Gras parade today and it was so much fun. All the kids were supposed to bring their riding toy decorated for Mardi Gras. I thought the balloons might get in Taylor's way.. but it didn't stop her. She LOVES balloons and she really didn't even try to get them off. There were so many kids out there riding, it was hard to keep up. They were supposed to ride around the circle.. and I'm not sure if anyone did!! Taylor's car is motorized, and she kept running into people because she's not really good at steering!! Taylor LOVES her school and we are so happy for that!! Happy Mardi Gras...... and Fat Tuesday to all of you!!

Columbus Trip

We had a really short, quick trip home this weekend. James and I had a party to go to Saturday night so we drove to Columbus on Saturday afternoon. Thanks to Nonna and Poppa for keeping Taylor.. she had fun!! We haven't been home since Christmas so it was nice to see everyone. Mallory and I took Taylor to McDonald's on Sunday to meet Holli and the girls. Taylor had so much fun playing.. especially with Madyson. They are starting to interact more and it is so funny. Lexi is just about ready to walk and she wanted to be right in the middle of them playing. I know the girls will have so much fun together in Orlando.

Golfing with Daddy!!!

Sunday was such a beautiful day. James wanted to take Taylor to the golf course, after the crowd died down to "watch" him play a few holes. Well, he had already played 27 holes on Saturday and 16 on Sunday.(he had to stop early to babysit) So, we took the golf cart out and Taylor had SO much fun. She LOVES a ball, and watching her daddy play golf put a HUGE smile on her face!! She also thought she had to be right in the middle of what he was doing, so we weren't able to stay out there long. James is so excited about teaching Tay how to play golf... she loves to imitate him doing his golf swing.. it's really cute!!

Dancing Queen

Excuse the loud music in the first part of the video, we were trying to get her to dance, so we turned it up. She gets so mad when she can't get those slippers on.... that's why she won't stop trying in the first part.

James' job at night is to run Taylor's bath and get her ready. Each night, while the water is running, he lets Taylor throw the ball into the goal.. and she ALWAYS misses. She used to just throw it all over the place, but a couple nights ago, she started "trying" to throw it in the goal. Well, James doesn't cut her any slack and continues to teach her how. Well, SHE GOT IT!! She was so proud of herself she kept looking back at me to see if I was watching. This child is going to be very competetive... and gets upset if she can't do something on the first try..... sound like anyone you know?? HER DADDY!!!! Enjoy the video!! She is one in a million!!

She also came out with this teapot that Cici got her for Christmas. It's a Backyardigans teapot that sings to you.. well Taylor has just discovered that she can dance on cue... anytime she hears music now, she starts to break dance.. I mean really break it down. It is hilarious to watch her. She will do it wherever she is... and we LOVE it. She carried the teapot around all night pushing the buttons and dancing to the music!! Guess we will need to enroll in dance lesson as soon as possible!!

she is so silly... she decided she wanted to make her daddy laugh by putting her pail(aka purse) on her head. She carries this pail around like it's her purse. She puts things from the house in it.. and we can't find them!!

We have so much fun watching her play!! This is such a fun age. She is talking SO much, and repeats everything we say!! She is really getting good at saying people's names and pointing them out in pictures. She tells us what she wants, food, colors, juice, milk, toys, elmo, ride, car, outside, bath, baby, book, puzzle... you name it!! My most favorite thing she does is say "Go Rebels" it is so cute!! She even does her arm up like a cheerleader when she says it!! She is growing faster than we can keep up with!! I have missed putting all her monthly updates on here, so maybe this will help see what she's been up to lately!! Oh, I have a video of Taylor riding her jeep, but can't get it to upload. She got this jeep for Christmas and wouldn't go near it.. until now. She has learned how to not only ride it, but push the button to make it go forward or backwards!! She has been riding it in the house because of the weather... but today is going to be beautiful!!! Will post pics later of her riding outside!!!

Super Bowl Sunday!!!

We had friends and children over for the Super Bowl last Sunday. The kids had so much fun playing together. They ran around all afternoon, ate, and played until they were worn slap out!!! It is so great to be able to enjoy time with frineds and their kids.. who have all grown up together!!
