Weekend Pics

Taylor loves being in the water.. and out watching all the kids. I am SO glad.. because I love the pool. I am trying to take her as much as possible (without over doing it) before we hit the beach twice this summer!! She seems to LOVE the water.. but she really hates her float.( both of them) She would rather be held and splash around!! She has started dunking her head under and drinking the water... not good!! But, all in all she likes to be outside!!

SURPRISE!!!!

We threw a surprise party for Jim and Cindy's (james' parents) 30th wedding anniversary!!! They were so shocked when they came in... their faces were priceless. We had such a good time with family and friends!!

Pool Time.....

We took Taylor to the pool over the weekend. She loved it and had a great time!! She actually did so much better than I ever expected. She loved the water, but hated her float. She's too small for the seat so we have to find a new one. She liked to splash and play with her toys.. along with watching the older kids in the pool. I'm glad she enjoys the water.. we will be at the pool a lot over the summer!!

Our weekend was very eventful!! I had my last day of school Friday.. along with Taylor. We drove to Columbus Saturday morning to spend the weekend... and our plans changed fast. taylor came down with high fever and a virus. The doctor said she was very contagious so we had to pack up and head back home so that drew wouldn't get it. We fought the fever all day Sunday and through the night. Monday morning she woke up with no fever and feeling better!! So, we packed up and headed to Hattiesburg. James played in the golf tournament and Taylor and I shopped and ate with Kayla. We then headed to the Memorial Day Bash at the club (which eventually got rained out) and had so much fun!! The band never got to play because the rain set in.. but there was lots of people, food and lots of children swimming and running around. It turned out to be a good weekend minus the virus!!

8 month update:

Taylor is getting so big so fast!! She is now crawling around EVERYWHERE!!, playing a lot more, laughing a whole lot, eating some table food (just tried mashed potatoes and eggs.. she loved both), clapping for anything and everything, babbling all the time saying mammaamama.... babababab... just not dadada yet!! She enjoys playing outside, riding in her stroller, playing in her walker, playing with any kind of paper.. and of course she likes to watch tv. She now understands us saying ahah (which means no).. she will drop whatever she has if we say that to her. It is so funny because she will look at us like we are supposed to explain to her why she can't have it!! Her personality and expressions are really starting to shine. She is full of energy and laughter!! We love her more and more everyday!! This age is by far the best!!

WE ARE ON THE MOVE........

Taylor has learned to crawl!!! No, she has not mastered it yet.. but she is definitely crawling around.. some way or another. She starts crawling, tries to stand up, goes about 2 feet, then stops and sits up!! It is so much fun to watch her do this. The only downfall...... it's baby proofing time!! She is into everything. She had a cord from the vaporizer in her hand this morning while I was drying my hair.. we can't leave her for more than 2 seconds for FEAR of what she will get into. I can't even lay my shoes on the floor.. she finds them and inserts into her mouth!! ha. This is such a fun age and I can't wait to spend ALL summer with her!!

I layed Taylor down for a nap Saturday... and walked out of her room for 5 minutes.. came back and this is how I found her.... she has learned to sit herself up.. and crawl around in her crib!!

Noise Queen

Who knows why we buy expensive, cute, noisy, fun, etc. toys when ALL they want is a pot and pan? Taylor has PLENTY of toys to play with, but she always wants things that she is NOT supposed to play with.. like.... measuring spoons, a wooden spoon, travel size kleenex packs, sunglasses, lotion bottles, real keys!! Yes, these are all things Cici gave Taylor to play with!! Of course.. she Loves it!! This child is so loud these days that it is almost impossible to keep her quiet.. even in church!! I was so embarrassed yesterday because she talked, fussed, laughed, and played all during church.. so of course everyone had their eyes fixed on us!! But, it was worth every minute of it... especially being able to stand up and have a blessing to all the special mothers out there!! There is nothing in the world quite like being a mother!! Hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day!!

Sweetheart!!!!

This was what I got from Taylor when I picked her up from school yesterday!! I was so surprised... and yet so happy!!! She is the light of our life and she just made my day!! I cried when I got in the car!! This is the best Mother's Day gift I could have gotten!! (even though her daddy already bought me something too!!..)

taylor's first biter biscuit!! she absolutely loved it!! i had to strip her down afterwards.. she had biscuit in her diaper, on her clothes, all over her walker, and in her hair!! so funny!!
One of my friends suggested a biter biscuit after hearing how bad she was teething.. guess what ..IT WORKS!!! you just have to watch them.. new moms... purchase this item as soon as you see signs of teething!!

FISH FRY

We went to a fish fry Saturday at our friends Micah and Kayla's house. It was so much fun. Everyone was able to come and enjoy the pretty weather. Taylor had plenty of kids to play with and plenty of food to eat!! Taylor is teething extremely bad this time, and refuses bottles and baby food!! So, what do you think she wants??? Grown-up food... so we give it to her!! (of course, not anything she could possibly choke on) She ate really good.. fish, mashed up french fries, chicken dip, taco dip, and of course.. some good old banana pudding!! I tried to snap some pics of all the babies playing.. we had a great time!!!
