The Best of Friends!!!!

I know I have said this before, but it makes my heart smile when I see my kids playing so well together. They are the BEST of friends... wake up playing together... go to sleep playing together!! I know that one day, this will start to fade away, so I am sucking in every minute of it and enjoying their laughter. They have so much fun hanging out together that it reminds me every day of what sweet blessings God has given us!!! Things have been crazy around our house since Christmas... James has been traveling a lot with work, etc and the kids have just simply grown up. I am so thankful that I am able to stay home with my kids and cherish every minute of life with them.
On another note: J had his one year check-up and was off the charts for everything!!! Imagine that.... his weight was like 97%, height 95%, and his head 93%... such a growing boy!!!! Hoping for an awesome quarterback one day!!!! HA!!! Hope you are all enjoying your weekend!!

This was J's cake we ate on his actual birthday. We celebrated at home with our little family and J loved every little bit of it.. needless to say, we had all the neighborhood kids over the next day to finish off the cupcakes!!

J wanted a cupcake rather than his cake, so we let him dig in... not very smart for a child that had already taken a bath!!

I can't believe I am even typing this, but my baby boy is already ONE!!! This first year has absolutely flown by. He has been such a great baby, little brother, and best friend to Taylor. We are blessed beyond words for such a happy, healthy little boy. He and Taylor are such great friends sometimes I have to just sit back and watch them while holding back my tears. They get a long so well and depend on each other so much. I knew my kids would be close, but never imagined they would be as close as they are at this age. J is walking everywhere nonstop, chasing his sister around the house, and laughing along the way. His favorite thing is to shake his head no at anything you say or ask him. He smiles all day long and keeps right along with his sister.
He is finally sleeping in his bed and pretty much through the night. He has to have an occasional bottle in the middle of the night, but takes it himself and goes back to sleep. He is an early to bed early to rise kind of guy!!
We has family and friends over for his birthday party and he loved it!! He laughed and clapped every time we sang Happy Birthday to him. I don't have any pics of his actual party because my camera died before it started. I hope to be able to post some soon.
Once again..... we are so blessed to have such an adorable, lovable, wonderful little boy..... and sweet, kind hearted, angel little girl!! God is so good to us!!

J absolutely LOVES a cabinet!!

Taylor got to play in the snow when we went to visit Kyke and Sadie in Oxford!! She loved it!!

J also loves to play in our fire place.. good thing we don't use it!!

J was sick here and was still pretty happy!!

They have had so much fun playing with J's new smart trike.. J loves riding in it and Tay loves pushing it! Her babydolls get to ride whenever J isn't around. Thanks San San for his birthday gift!!

Well, things have been so busy around here lately. I know i keep saying that, but it really is true. I haven't had much time to blog, so when I get a chance, I have to catch up on all the pics. J and Taylor are growing up so fast they both amaze me everyday. I am enjoying every minute I am able to spend with them at home. They are such wonderful blessings!!! We love them so dearly!!

We had a wonderful New Year!! We had all the kids together for New Year's Eve and they had a blast!! Unfortunately, it was raining the entire day/night so the kids were stuck inside.. but it really didn't bother them. New Year's Day it cleared up and we cooked, grilled out, and played outside at our house... along with our friends and it was fun!! The kids were glad to get back outside and that's where they stayed most of the day :) All my Christmas pictures are on another camera, so for now I am just loading the ones I have.
The scary part is my sweet baby boy turns ONE in less than a month and I'm planning his first birthday... it REALLY doesn't seem like he is that old. He is walking around everywhere and is into EVERYTHING!!! But, it's so much FUN!!!!

Thanksgiving Holidays 2010

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We spent the day with the entire Wamble family at a farm Mimi rented in Oxford. We stayed at the condo and the kids have played their little hearts out. We did lots of shopping on The Square and have eaten soooo much food!! We have so much to be thankful for and we owe it all to God!! I am so proud to have two happy, healthy children, a wonderful husband and terrific father to our children and a great family!! We saw my mom before Thanksgiving... and we are headed to Columbus Monday to see the McBrayer family!! Needless to say, we are also very blessed to see all of our family this Thanksgiving!!

Okay, so I know many of you have asked when I would be able to post some pics.... well... I was finally able to get some uploaded to James' work computer. I have a lot to post about, but will just get you up to date on the main things!! Taylor is loving her new Pre-school. She has so much fun and has made so many new little friends. J is almost 10 months old. He has been crawling for over 2 months now, and trying to walk for several weeks. He pulls up on everything in sight.. walks along side of it, then sits back down and crawls around. I'm really not pushing him to walk right now because he is so very busy it is extremely hard to keep up with him. He is loving his sister so much these days.. everything she does, he wants to do.. and vise versa!! I love these two kiddos so much my hearts skips a beat when I look at them. We are so very blessed to have these precious angels... and I wouldn't trade them for anything in the world!!
On another note, James' plant is shutting down in July. His company has asked him to stay and actually close the plant out. They have offered him a job anywhere within the company that he would like to go... and the closest place is Texas. They have been so good to us so far, and he has really enjoyed working for them, so we will probably be in Texas!! We are actually here, in Lufkin, as I type... scoping out the city and seeing if we would enjoy living here. All I can say is that God is taking care of us and we will go wherever he sends us!!

J is 7 Months Old!!

J is 7 months old today. He has changed so much since last month. He has such a personality and is still such a happy baby. J now has TWO teeth, sits up all by himself, plays by himself... whenever his sister will let him...and talks/babbles to us all the time. He is really trying to lean forward and get on all fours to crawl. He doesn't know what he is doing yet, but he knows that he can get to what he wants that way. He has been sleeping better since he cut his teeth.. 2 days apart from each other. He is following in Taylor's footsteps so closely that it's scary! It seems that everything she did, he is doing, right around the same time. He still loves to go, go, go with us.. not that he has a choice, but he does like it. He has outgrown his infant car seat, so we have ordered him a new one. He gets to ride in the front of the buggy at the grocery, Target, etc and he loves it!! He just grins the whole time. J is such a tough little guy. He has been knocked in the head with several toys(by other children), fallen down or rolled over and hit his head, been pawed on the face by a dog, and rough-housed with his sister... all without even a peep. I'm so glad God blessed us with a little girl first. I cannot imagine a little girl being as tough as J has been, but I'm so PROUD my little man is so tough. We are having so much fun with these two!! I'm so thankful to be at home with my babies and spend every second with them. We are truly blessed!!

Slowing Down

Well, it seems as though things are slowing down for us a little. School has started for all the school kids and teachers, but Mother's Day Out doesn't start until after Labor Day. The pool doesn't open until the afternoon, so we are trying to keep busy and not get too bored. It is so very hot outside that we are trying to keep busy inside. Taylor is so excited to start school. She is also going to take ballet and tap starting in September. She is super excited about that!! J is so busy these days. He is playing non-stop on the floor with all kinds of toys.. and his sister. He had his 6 month check-up and shots. He is 20 lbs 14 oz.... and is exceeding the weight limit on his car seat. We have ordered another one because he is so heavy I can't carry him around in it anymore. He is such a big boy..... he is now sitting up in the buggy while we shop. He is not a big fan of his baby food anymore, mainly because he wants what we are eating, so I am no longer buying it. J has learned how to chew food... with no teeth. Here is a run-down of the things he has tried: spaghetti, oatmeal, eggs, muffins, baked beans, peas, sweet potatoes, toast, mashed potatoes, potato salad, fish sticks, vienna sausage, tater tots, banana, popsicles, yogurt, jello, and pudding. He is such a good eater. He is still not sleeping through the night, but sleeping better. He is still such a happy, fun, lovable baby.... and we are so thankful for that. I cannot believe I am even typing this, but J is 6 months old now. The time flew by when Taylor was a baby, but I swear it flies by faster with the 2nd child. J is so alert and is still such a happy baby. He is sitting up now, but falls over if all his weight isn't shifted in the middle. He is eating so much these days, I can hardly keep up. He eats 3 jars of baby food a day ( one for each meal.. stage 2) and takes 4 bottles a day.. or more. He loves, loves, loves to be around children. He gets the biggest grin on his face when Taylor's friends are over. He is trying to cut some teeth... several teeth... so we are just waiting (patiently) for them to come through. He has taken the whole teething process much better than his sister did though!! J is sleeping in his crib and doing great. he still wakes up at least 2 times a night.. and has to be put back to sleep.. I guess he's just simply going to be a non-sleeper!! I'm okay with that for now :)

Busy Summer....

We have been so busy this summer. It seems like I can't ever get caught up on here, but I'm trying. J is 5 months old now and is the absolute best baby. I drag him around everywhere we go and he just loves it!! He is finally sleeping in his crib and FINALLY sleeping all night! We have been to the beach again on a girls trip and are heading back with my Mom and her whole family this weekend. Daddy gets to go with us this time so Taylor is really excited. We spend most of our days at the pool and playing with friends. Taylor gets so worn out through the day that she falls out every night. I took Taylor to the library last week for story hour and she loved it. We checked out 7 books.. one for every day of the week until we go back. Our summer has been so much fun so far!! Okay so I'm REALLY behind on the blogging. We have been going non-stop lately and it's simply hard enough to get on the computer with two kids!! I do have TONS of pictures to share, so bare with me. I will try to go through and explain where we were and what we were doing!! ENJOY!!

Our hot water heater busted, and unfortunately we had to get a new one. Taylor made a tunnel out of the box and had so much fun..

There was an unexpected rain storm at the pool Memorial Day, so everyone waited it out.. except Tay... she was so tired she passed out!! it ended raining for like 2 hours, but we all stayed and had a great time.

4 MONTHS OLD!!

I can't believe I am actually typing this, but J is 4 MONTHS OLD!! Time is really flying by,and I know I always said that when Taylor was a baby... but the second baby grows up even faster. J is doing really well. he is the happiest and best baby I know!! The only other one I had to compare him to was Tay.. and we all know how tough she was as a baby. J is so laid back, relaxed, easy going, talks all the time, laughs at us when we talk to him or make funny noises, and such a little cuddler. He is such a sweet and handsome little boy. I could just eat him up!! He has tried some baby food: sweet potatoes and yogurt. he was not a big fan of the sweet potatoes... but LOVES the yogurt. He is still "learning" how to eat it.. but loves it when shove it in his mouth. He is really trying to sit up but just isn't there yet. He loves for me to hold him on my hip and walk around so he can see what's going on. J loves to lay on his changing pad, his bed, and the floor to just kick those little feet. He smiles at us all day long and it just melts my heart.
We have been spending a lot of time at the pool, and of course.. he loves that too. J loves to be outside so he could care less where we are, but he seems to sleep best by the pool (in the shade.. of course). I took the kids to the HCC pool last Sunday and it worked out perfect. I was worried about how J was going to do.. but he was wonderful. James set the pack and play up for me under the cabana and J slept almost 31/2 hours. Tay loved it because she had all her little friends there to play with. The opens for good this weekend, so I guess that will be where we spend most of our days!!!

Sunshining Days!!

We are having so much fun playing outside, but I'm not sure how long it will last. It is getting so hot these days and we all just sweat to death when we are out! The pool opens this weekend so I know we will spend most of our days at the club. James has a big golf tournament this weekend that my brother plays in with him. I'm sure I will have lots of pics to post later because we have several parties to go to. Our weekend starts today!! I hope you all enjoy yours!!

Miles is driving the girls around.. they all wanted to drive/ride so this was the only way we could get the squabble of who was driving and when to stop!! These riding toys have been the best investment for the parents on our street!!

There are several golf carts on our street also, and when someone pulls one out.... the kids jump on to ride. James came home Sunday with Taylor, Miles, Sarah Dabney... and Mattie.. the dog... they ALL jumped on :)

Busy Little Bees

J had a check-up this week. He weighed a whopping 16.4 pounds and was 25 inches long. To have been born a month early, he sure is big!! He loves to eat and is so happy when his tummy is full. J and Taylor have been outside as much as possible lately. It is already VERY hot here, but we manage by napping in the hottest part of the day. The kids love to be in the sunshine and mommy does too. We had J christened this past Sunday(mother's day) but all the pictures are on my camera, which still will not upload to the computer. All the pics are from my phone. (hopefully we can get this problem fixed soon) J did great at his baptism. He was a little trooper. We had everyone over for lunch afterwards (I cooked a huge meal) and it was fun!! The kids played, and played, and played.. until it was dark outside!! We are so blessed to have such great friends and two wonderful, happy, baptized children! I am so thankful for such an amazing husband and two terrific kids! Enjoy your weekend!!

Ann Hunter and I took the kids to the park this week and for a picnic. They had so much fun playing, but their favorite part was soaking down in the water fountain. Miles found a way to turn the spout around so that it would squirt water on them... needless to say, they were soaked when we left.

Catching Up

We have been so busy lately, so I am going to catch up on the pictures that I have. I am still uploading from my phone-our computer isn't fixed yet.

We are having so much fun at home. Taylor and I have a new relationship now that we are together 24/7. She talks to me about anything and everything and I love it. She asks me all kinds of questions and is very curious these days. She does miss going to school, but loves being at home with mommy.

J is changing every day. He is holding his head up pretty well at the moment. He is talking/cooing ALL the time. He has his schedule down pat and I know every little cry these days. He is such a happy baby! He has started sleeping in his crib and he loves it. He is taking his last bottle around 8:00 and doesn't eat again until 4:00-5:00 in the morning. He does wake up several times throughout the night, but most always, he just wants his pacifier and to be patted or rocked back to sleep. I think within the next 2 weeks, he will start sleeping throughout the night. We have the feeding under control, we just have to get the sleeping to that point also. Whatever the case may be, we are SO THANKFUL he is doing so well and sleeping so well. Taylor didn't sleep in her crib until she was 6 months old!

J still loves to be outside and in the sun. He loves to play in his bouncer and kick around on the floor. I am so happy to be at home with my kids and couldn't be happier to be able to spend this quality time with both of them. We are SO BLESSED!!!

All the neighborhood kids have some sort of riding toy. Every afternoon, they get outside and ride up and down the street. Well, Taylor didn't have a big power wheel so she would ride passenger with Miles in his Gator. She talked about this so much that James promised her he would buy her one. Well, if you know Taylor, she doesn't forget a thing. She told every one we saw that her daddy was going to buy her a pink jeep... and he did!! She still doesn't know how to drive it, but rides in circles and bumps into stuff anyway. James took her to Toys R Us to get it and I have never seen her happier. What a great daddy!! He does anything for his Tay!!

It seems like every weekend we have had somewhere to be. My dad and Wanda came down last weekend to babysit for us while we went to Jaime and Darren's crawfish boil. Taylor and J were really good for them and they were such great babysitters! They actually got J to sleep through the night without waking up for a bottle at 1:00 am. I asked for tips from them because this was the first time he had done this :) James and dad played golf on that Sunday and Wanda and I shopped. It was fun and we were really glad they came and we could spend time with them. Thanks Daddy and Wanda!! We really appreciate it!!

3 MONTHS OLD!!!

J is 3 months old today! He is such a happy baby lately! We are transitioning him to sleep in his crib from now on, so we'll see how that goes! We are having so much fun watching him grow up!

12 weeks old and getting SO BIG!!!

J is getting so big these days. He has really changed just in the last week or so. He really likes to play in his bouncer now, play on the floor in the living room, swing, watch tv with his sister and of course, sit outside. He has his schedule pretty much down pat. He is sleeping so much better, and waking only once in the night to eat(or should I say early morning). He likes for us to talk to him and play a little. He has gotten so content recently. He rarely cries anymore and just seems to be really happy!
I am so happy to tell you all that I AM NOT GOING BACK TO WORK. We had some issues with finding sitters, etc. for the time being and since J was born so early, our original plan was thrown out the window. I am very excited and happy to be able to stay home with my babies!! We are having fun and I am really excited that I am able to watch my babies grow up! My sweet husband wouldn't want anything more than for me to be able to be here with our kids, so I thank him too for making it happen!! We love daddy so much!!

Girls Beach Trip... with all the kids!!!

We had the opportunity to go with all the girls to Ann Hunter's beach house in Orange Beach. James was gone to Augusta for the Masters and I loaded the kids up Tuesday afternoon and headed down. There were 7 of us, along with all our kiddos. We had so much fun and the kids played so hard they wore themselves completely out. J enjoyed being in the sunshine and Taylor just had a ball. The house was as wild as it could be, but it was worth every minute of it!!

Thursday, it started raining, so we loaded the kids up and went to this place called the Hangout. OMG... it is the best place ever to take your kids. The workers do line dancing on top of the tables inside while you eat, and let the kids come up and dance along. Outside, they have this huge play area with sand and all the kids loved it! They rang a bell and all the kids started running while they just blew bubbles out everywhere. It was more like soap suds becausde the kids were covered from head to toe and soaked. After all that, they turned on these sprinklers and the kids got soaked again!! They had so much fun, no one wanted to leave.

J is growing so fast and getting so big! He has started smiling and cooing at us when we talk to him. He still loves his sister very much and grins when she plays with him. He is eating great and sleeping pretty well. He has sort of started a little routine at night, going to bed between 7-9 and sleeping until 1-2 in the morning. After that early morning bottle, he likes to eat every 3-4 hours. He is still having some tummy issues, but nothing compared to what Taylor had. He is filling out all his clothes and is wearing 3 month clothes. He still loves to be outside, and loves sitting in the sun even more!! He is holding his head up almost all by himself. We are so blessed to have him in our lives and so healthy!!

Easter 2010

We had a wonderful Easter this year. We had the Wamble family over to our house for the weekend. I did not get near as many pictures as I wanted, but the kids really didn't want to cooperate. We took Tay and J to the Easter egg hunt at the club on Saturday while the guys golfed. We all went out for dinner that night and had Nana, Papaw, and Andrew's clan join us for lunch on Easter. We hid eggs in the yard and the kids played. it was so much fun but we were exhausted when everyone left. We are so blessed and thankful for our families.

Time is flying by so fast! J is getting so big these days. He is so observant and loves to watch his big sister. It is hard to believe that I have to go back to work in a few short weeks. I am enjoying every minute I have at home with my precious babies!!

2 Months Old and Catching Up....

I cannot believe J will be 2 months old tomorrow. Time has really flown by!! J is doing great. We went to the doctor at 6 weeks for checkup and shots. His stats were: 10 lbs 6 oz, 23 inches long. He is getting so big. It is hard to believe he was 4 weeks early and has already caught up to normal weight. We have had a few problems here and there with reflux, and tummy problems, but nothing compared to what we experienced with Taylor. He is finally sleeping better, and napping better. He really has pretty much the same schedule daily. He stays awake most of the morning, and naps really long after his lunchtime bottle. If we go somewhere in the car, he will sleep in his car seat for hours at a time. Taylor loves her baby brother so much. She is a really big help, and wants him to be able to play really bad. When we put him on the floor for tummy time, she goes nuts playing with him.. and he loves it!! He really knows the sound of her voice as much as his mommy and daddy's voice. He hasn't started smiling at us yet, only in his sleep. He has a lot of head control and would like to be able to hold it up all on his own. He is growing out of all his clothes, and we are constantly buying more. He still has a ton of hair and the prettiest blue eyes!! Her loves to be outside in the sunshine. He is so strong the nurse could barely hold his little legs still to give him the shots. He has his own little personality and we are loving every minute with him!!

We went to the beach for a week during Spring Break. It was a lot of fun to get the babies together. This was the first time J and Eli (a day apart) have met. It was weird to see how different they are in size. Toward the middle of the trip, the babies ended up on the same schedule and it was funny because one would cry, and then the other one would start, much like having twins I'm sure :) Taylor and Drew had a ball together, of course. They play so well together, and their Cici gives them whatever they want, so they are happy!!

My Mom and Tim, along with Drew, Holli, Madyson, and Lexi came to visit the weekend before we left for the beach. This was the first time they all met J, so it was fun!! The girls played all day and had so much fun. Needless to say, we have had a very eventful couple of weeks. I normally never take this long to update, but things change when you have 2 kiddos!! I promise to do better!! Enjoy the pics!!

I took the kids with me to a wedding shower here in Hattiesburg for Sadie. Taylor thought it was her birthday party, and helped her open ALL the gifts. She truly loved it!

Beautiful Days

The weather was absolutely beautiful this past weekend. We spent Friday, Saturday, and Sunday outside most of the day. J loves sitting in the sun and Tay loves to play, of course. The weather was so warm we had to venture out and buy new flip flops for Tay. We went to the zoo on Sunday with Kayla, her mother in law, and the girls. They all had so much fun seeing the animals, and J slept the entire time. It was a great weekend to be outside and we hope to see more sun from now on!!

J is 6 weeks old today. He is getting so big. He is eating so much these days, it is hard for us to keep up. He is eating 5 oz bottles and sometimes a 6 oz, which is a lot for his age. When he gets really good and full, he will sleep for 6 hours at a time. He loves his car seat, and always falls asleep there. He is sleeping great at night, just while his mommy is holding him. We end up sleeping on the couch each night because I know he and I will both sleep. Since he is now 6 wks old, we will be trying the crib from now on. I hope and pray that he adjusts to his new sleeping spot. J is staying awake so much more these days. He looks around the room a lot to check things out. He has so much head control it is almost unbelievable. He can lift his head while on his tummy and look from side to side without dropping his head. He is so strong.... and strong willed!! We are having so much fun with this little guy!! We go to the beach on Monday for a week. I can't wait to see how well he like the sand and the car ride there :0 This will be our first road trip!!

Time is flying by here at the Wamble house. J is already 4 weeks old!! Taylor has made a complete turnaround and has made a complete adjustment to being a big sister. She has finally settled into our new routine and absolutely adores her baby brother. She is in mommy mode half the time and 2-year old mode the other half of the time. She loves staying at home with mommy and baby brother.
J is growing so fast. He still looks little to the outside world, but we KNOW he has grown. He is eating more and more and starting to gain a little personality. He is staying awake much longer these days. He still naps a lot, but when he is awake, he is bright-eyed and bushy tailed. He is so funny to watch because he fixes his eyes on a certain object and makes the cutest faces trying to figure out what it is. He adores Taylor as much as she loves him. Throughout the day she hugs/kisses all over him and he just lets her!! We are so proud to have 2 wonderful and precious children in our lives, and we owe it all to God!!

James' parents were here over the weekend, so we were able to get out of the house, just the two of us, on Saturday night. We haven't had a night without kids in a while. We didn't know what to do with ourselves. We had plans to go to dinner, but got invited to a friends house for a drink before we ate. We had so much fun with them we ended up staying way past our welcome.. and later than we needed to. Needless to say, it was too late to have dinner anywhere.. so we stopped at IHOP and headed back home to our kiddos. Both were fast asleep when we got home, and Cici and Pop were ready for some sleep themselves :) We are so thankful to have each other and our TWO children on this Valentine's Day!!

Snow Day!!

We got enough snow Thursday/Friday to actually build a snowman. It was so pretty to wake up to everything covered in snow. I was up feeding J in the wee hours of the morning and just sat on the couch watching the snow fall like crazy. It didn't stop snowing until after lunch on Friday. James took Taylor out as soon as she woke up. She was so excited and had so much fun she didn't want to come in. Daddy was over the whole snow thing and finally got her inside. He took her back out that afternoon on the golf cart to ride across the street to the club. It was so cold, they weren't able to get back out and play in the snow on the golf course. Daddy was really tired of being cooped up in the house... and was ready to get out. Thank goodness his parents came to visit.
I must say that Taylor (and now probably J) has seen more snow in her 2 years of life than James and I have seen in our entire 29 years of life... and in SOUTH MS!! She has seen true snowfall and has been able to play in it twice this year!! Maybe J will be able to play in the snow next year!!

These two weeks have flown by!! J is still sleeping most of the day, and waking up only to eat. He stays awake for maybe an hour in the early morning, and He is such a good baby. He is sleeping much better and starting to eat a little more. We are so blessed to have this little guy in our lives.

One Week Old

This first week has gone by so fast. It seems like a blurr, looking back at how fast J came into this world, but we are so thankful he did. His first week has been pretty good so far. He had his days/nights mixed up for the first couple nights, and we had to find his "favorite" sleeping spot.. which ended up being the bouncer for now. We tried the bassinet and the pack-n-play, neither worked. He loves the bouncer and sleeps so peacefully there. He is eating pretty good. We have to wake him up for some of his feedings because he is such a sleepy head right now.
We had a check-up at the doctor yesterday and he looks good. He only weighed 6.25 lbs, but the doctor said he should start gaining his weight back in the next couple days. He already grew an inch in just a week, so we know he is growing!!
Taylor is adjusting pretty well, she gets a little "whiny" at times, but for the most part, she is loving her baby brother will all she's got.. and then some. She hugs on him ALL the time, even when she doesn't need to :)
We are so happy to be a family of 4 and so blessed to have this little prince in our lives!!

Baby J is here... and I have no idea where to start with his story!! Monday afternoon, we traveled to Jackson to meet our newest nephew, Eli. He was born early as a result of some complications with Linda's pregnancy. We stayed there about an hour to see our sweet nephew and then traveled back home to Hattiesburg. I went to bed that night, really tired, but feeling fine. I woke up around 12:30 with back pain that felt all too familiar. I stayed awake for about an hour.. thinking to myself that the pain should have gone away by now. I started having mild contractions(or what I remember from Taylor) and thought I better time them. I grabbed my cell phone, and realized the contractions were coming regularly, but every 7 to 9 minutes. I finally woke James up around 2:30 and told him what was going on. He freaked out of course, because I was only 36 wks and 2 days preggo. We called the hospital and they said it was normal... to just lie on a heating pad, etc, etc. Well, the conractions were still mild but were coming every 3 to 4 minutes now. We decided to go to the hospital at 4:00 am thinking they would give me a shot to stop the conractions.. and send me home to rest. We woke Taylor up, packed a bag of toys for her and left the house. YES, she went to the ER with us. It all happened so fast, we had no other choice. We got to the ER and they put me on the monitor. My contractions started to get worse after about an hour and they really picked up. Doc came in to check me and .... what do you know.. my water starts to break.. so here we are with NOTHING but toys for Taylor.. being admitted. We called James' mom (who had also just traveled to Jackson to meet Eli) to come on. We told all our family members that J decided to come early and we were being admitted. I got into a room around 7:00 and everything went smoothly. It was actually better than my experience with Tay becaus ethey let me get my epidural at 3cm. It was smooth sailing from that point on. James Edward Wamble IV arrived at 2:15 weighing 6 lbs and 4 oz 191/2 inches ... one day apart from his cousin Eli. The scariest part was worrying about his lungs and him being able to breathe on his own since he was 4 weeks early. He did great!! God blessed us with a healthy baby boy and we coudn't be more thankful.
J is doing great. He eats and sleeps all day (which is normal for a preemie..so i've been told) He is actually eating more and more each day which is great news to us. He is so tiny that it amazes me!! Taylor weighed 6 lbs 11 oz so he really isn't that much smaller than she was. It's just hard to remember 2 years ago. Big sister Taylor is doing great with him so far... she's a really big help and loves on him all the time. Thanks to all of you for the prayers during his delivery. We are so happy to finally have our baby boy with us!!

Taylor has so much fun at her gymnastics class. I always forget to take my camera inside, so I made sure to bring it today!! I do have to "participate" in teh class with her, which means I have to make sure she is doing what she is supposed to do. She is always good and normally does what Ms Amanda asks her to. We really get a lot accomplished in 45 minutes!!

Zoo Day

We were out of school Monday for Martin Luther King, Jr holiday. The weather was so pretty and it was so nice because we have had such freezing temps lately. We headed to the zoo that afternoon with Katherine, Mary Carter, and Cannon. They kids were so good... and the animals were roaming about everywhere!! I guess they were happy about the pretty weather, too. Taylor was so happy to be able to get outside again.. and mommy needed the exercise walking!!

She loves to play also, but begs to watch cartoons around the clock! We never had to worry about thsi before because she didn't care anything about the tv..... she would stay here all day if we would let her!!

James found this little set of golf clubs and bag after Christmas and decided Taylor had to have them!! The weather has been freezing cold lately, so she hasn't even had a chance to get outside and try them out. Sunday after church, she begged her daddy to play golf.. so they ended up in the front yard :) These little clubs are adorable and they are her perfect little size... she LOVES them!!

Anna and Sydney had their first birthday party on Saturday. They were so adorable in their little outfits!! They had a ball playing with all the kids, eating cake, and of course opening presents. It's Done!!! Baby J's room was actually finished before Christmas, I just haven't had the chance to post pics since we have been so busy! We decided to go with the zoo animals since they had all primary colors!! I have been washing his clothes, organizing, etc. I just love going in his room and imagining what he will be like!! Taylor decided to share some of her books(that we don't read) with her brother. He needed some books for his book shelf andf I thought it was so sweet of her!! She truly is going to be an amazing big sister if she keeps her sweetness up when he arrives!!

New Years Day 2010

I must first say that 2010 is going to be a great year... and it's the year of James Edward Wamble IV!!!! We are so excited to meet our sweet baby BOY that we can hardly stand it. I am nearing the end of my pregnancy and every day feels a day closer!! Taylor is talking non-stop about her brother and asking TONS of questions(wonder where she gets that from.. ha.) We are all praying for a happy, healthy, precious baby in the weeks to come!!

New Year's day was full of GOLF(of course) and FOOTBALL! Kyle and Sadie got to visit and eat dinner with us! It was great to see them. We had Micah and Kayla over as well.. which is always fun because Taylor LOVES those girls.. and Micah and Kayla. She practically takes over the twins' parents when they are around... but it's a good thing!! They must know just how much Taylor loves them!!

Taylor couldn't get enough of the fireworks, so her daddy took her shopping for more.. and came back with a BAG FULL!! It was a sight to see.. we have sparklers coming out our ears!! We did save some for another time since she had so much fun with them.

New Years Eve

We went over to Micah and Kayla's house to ring in the New Year. It was a ton of fun and surprisingly, Taylor stayed up until 12:00 that night!! She played so hard with Rykee and Raeghan that she didn't want to stop to go to sleep. This year, she was old enough to hold a sparkler(with a little help) and she LOVED it. I can't tell you how many sparklers we went through between the three girls. They enjoyed every minute of it.. and Anna and Sydney enjoyed watching. We had a really good night with great friends!!

Christmas Eve

We decided to start a new tradition and stay at our own house for Christmas. It worked out really well. My family came a few weekends ago and James' family came for Christmas. Taylor really enjoyed being at her own house for "Santa" and so did we. We knew next year would be really hard with both kids trying to travel, see everyone, and have Santa in Columbus. We are so blessed to have family around us during the holidays. We went to mass early (4:00) on Christmas Eve. There were over 500 people at that mass and it was hard for Taylor to tolearte it. At the end of the mass, Father Tommy had Santa come in and bring Baby Jesus a present... well.. we have been talking about Santa so much at our house that Taylor couldn't figure out why Santa was taking the present to baby Jesus and not to her.... so needless to say, we left mass with her crying!! Luckily, our house is close by and we let her open a gift from us and a gift from Cici and Pop Pop. She was perfectly happy then:)

If you know Taylor, you know she is deathly afraid of Santa.. or anyone dressed up for that matter. We have seen Santa in the mall 3 or 4 times, had breakfast with Santa, and NOT ONCE would she even go near him. She likes to talk to him from far away and wave to him, but No Chance she would sit in his lap.. or even stand behind him.. until Monday. Santa came to Taylor's school, so I figured this was our last attempt to get a quick pic with Santa. It is amazing what her friends and teachers can make her do. Taylor saw the kids in her class walking right up to Santa, so I finally talked her into getting a candy cane from him and "standing" beside him. Well, it worked, and she even hugged his leg at the end. This child amazes me more and more every day!! Enjoy the pics because we may never see her with Santa again :)

Kids Christmas Party

Every year we have an adult Christmas party with our friends and play dirty Santa. It's always a lot of fun, but our families are growing bigger and bigger each year. This year, we decided to do a Christmas party for the kids and let them draw names to exchange gifts. It was a great idea!! It's hard for all of us to get together because we all stay so busy. We had 2 one-year olds, 3 kids who will be one very soon, 3 two-year olds, and 2 pregnant women with another on the way!! You would think that it was a zoo around here, but ALL the kids got along very well. I was impressed that there was no fighting over toys and no fussing from the little ones!! We had the party at our house this year and Taylor loved it. The kids decorated Christmas door hangers and decorated cookies. Needless to say, they were all worn out and ready to go by the end of the night. We are so thankful for ALL our friends!!

We had Christmas with my family this past weekend. Our house was like a zoo!! Drew and his family came down on Saturday and spent the night. The girls had so much fun playing together!! I can't imagine what it will be like when Taylor and J are BOTH running around the house. We had a great visit with my Dad, Wanda, and Mallory on Sunday. The guys played golf and the girls shopped until the kids had to nap:) It was good to be able to share Christmas with my family in my own house this year!! We are staying home throughout the holidays for Taylor to be able to really enjoy Christmas. We have SEVERAL parties, family gatherings, and presents to open. Stay tuned for more!!

Thanksgiving Holidays

We traveled to Columbus over Thanksgiving. We had TONS of places we had to go, but it was fun. Taylor got to see her whole family, all grandparents, etc. She was full of herself the entire time we were home... I think she really likes having attention. She and Drew got along so well. They love each other so much and don't get to see each other enough!! We are so thankful for our families and are so happy we got to spend time with everyone!! Last trip we will make home before Baby J is born:)

Taylor and I went to Sarah Dabney, Mary carter, and Mallory's birthday party today. It was a dress up party and oh so much fun! They got to make tiaras, have their fingernails painted, and their make-up done. Taylor loved every minute of it, but had the most fun playing with all the balloons on the floor. She got to dress like a princess and act like one too!

Halloween.... a week late

Halloween was really fun for Taylor this year. She really understood what was going on and had fun trick-or-treating with all her friends. We went to Zoo Boo early in the week so Taylor could experience trick-or-treating there. She played a few games, but was really scared of all the draculas and spooky houses they had. She stayed on her daddy's hip most of the night. WE got to ride teh train at the end of the night and she was even scared of that.. unitl we made her get on, and she LOVED it!! WE had a hayride on Halloween nigh at a friend's house and it was so much fun. There were so many kids we had to take turns riding. Taylor never wanted to get off :)

We took Taylor to the fair in Laurel on Sunday. Our friends, Darren and Jamie, promised Taylor they would tag along!! She had a blast, but wasn't too fond of actually riding the rides. She was just a tad bit too short for most of the rides, but she did manage to ride a few. She acted as if she wanted to ride the Ferris Wheel... all day... which she didn't. She just liked looking at it. Seeing the excitement of a 2-year old is truly amazing. Taylor had so much fun and was worn out by the time we left.

Taylor's Field Trip

WARNING: VERY LONG POST!!
Taylor's class took a field trip today to Blue Jack Ridge in Poplarville. I took off work so I could tag along and it was SO MUCH FUN! (My class is going on Friday.. so I will be worn out) Anyway, I really didn't know how 2 classes of 2 year olds were going to act, but they all had a blast. I think it was the most fun for Taylor. It is awesome to see the joy of animals, pumpkins, hay rides, slides, corn mazes, and picnics through the eyes of a toddler. She was very scared of the live animals at first, but once she saw her friends jumping in there to pet them, she sure wasn't going to be left out!! There are tons of pictures, so ENJOY!!!

These pictures were taken at the Presbyterian Church in Oxford. After church on Sunday, we went over so Taylor could see all the pumpkins. She had a blast and really did not want to leave!! She cried when we went home and kept telling us she needed to go back to the pumpkins. She is at such a fun age. We are enjoying every minute of it!! Her class is taking a field trip Tuesday to a really big pumpkin patch/corn maze/petting zoo. We are so excited!! More pics to come!!

Weekend in Oxford

We went to Oxford last weekend for the Ole Miss/Alabama game. The weather was freezing cold, and I didn't pack our family very well. I looked at the weather channel all week, but just didn't believe it would be that cold since it was 90 degrees here in Hattiesburg. Well, I was WRONG! Tay had her cute little football dress, no tights, but I did bring her sweater. I had on a dress with a sweater also. Needless to say, Cici and I made a mad dash to the stores duirng the first half of the game. We weren't sure how long Tay would hold up in the stadium anyway, so we chose to go to the 2nd half of the game. Well, Taylor did great!! She was finally in some warm clothes and having a blast. She played with her Cici and Pop most of the time, but absolutely LOVED it when the helicopters flew over us. Needless to say, I think she can handle the whole game from now on.. as long as her mommy dresses her right :)

Okay so we were afraid Taylor would not get a nap because we went to the grove early in the day.. well she had no trouble sleeping. James went and bought us a blanket from the bookstore and Tay sacked out!! And might I add, there were triple the number of people in the tent than normal.. and it was very loud... but we still had a sleeping beauty!!

Taylor absolutely loves for me to paint her toenaails. It's very hard to keep her still long enough to actually do a good job, but we do it anyway. She will ask me every couple of days if I will paint them again!! She loves the polish for some reason. I'm not complaining because I love her being a girly girl!!

Taylor got these dress up clothes for her birthday from sweet Lily. She wore them every day after school for the first 3 or 4 days she had them. She got tons more from her birthday party, so now she is mixing and matching all the pieces!! So much fun!!

We went to a Southern Miss game a few weekends ago. We went with our friends Jamie and Darren, who gave us sky box tickets. Taylor was in heaven because she could run around and play and not have to sit in the seat the whole time. She enjoyed listening to the band and looking for the eagle to pop out!!

Taylor loves Darren... and you can really tell in the picture. She is pretty shy when it comes to people she doesn't know, but if you give her alittle attention.. you win her heart!! She would go home with Jamie and Darren half the time if we would let her!!

All the kids were sharing the same chair a few weeks ago while all the adults watched the game!! They had so much fun playing.... but only made it through half time and most ALL of them were in the bed asleep!!

Taylor loves Anna and Sydney. She really gets excited when she knows she is going to see them. She got to enjoy a popsicle with the girls while it was thier first taste at one!! They loved it by the way!! I'm sure Kayla will be stocking her freezer soon!! You can never go wrong with a popsicle!!

She does not like people dressed up as characters. (She still talks about the bunny from the country club LAST Easter) So we spent most of the party running from Scooby ;)

Micah, Kayla, and the girls came over Friday night so the guys could get the jumper set up for the party. Of course, Tay had to jump as soon as it was ready. She had so much fun I thought we were never going to get her out of there. The twins even got in for a little while to have a jump.. well... to try and jump. Anna had fun rolling around, but Sydney wanted out!! Won't be long before they are running around with Taylor!!

Taylor was so excited about her birthday party she just couldn't wait!! She woke up really early and found her birthday present from mommy and daddy waiting for her. She ran straight to it and hopped on. She put her barbies in the bucket and went for a ride!! She rode all morning outside and loved it. She also got to open presents from Cici and Pop that morning, so it felt a little like Christmas!! She loved every second of it!! We cannot believe she is already 2!! We went to the doctor on Friday and were blessed with news that we are having a baby BOY!!!! We are so excited and so thankful that God have given us one of each. Raising Taylor has been so much fun, and now we will experience the joy of raising a little boy. Taylor is so excited, she immediately started saying that he was having a little brother. She keeps reminding us that SHE is the BIG TISTER (big sister) and Baby J is still in mommy's tummy. I think she will be so sweet and loving to him. I have already heard that little boys love their mommas!! As most of you know, James is the III, so our boy will be James Edward Wamble IV, but we will call him "J". Since we have a girl, my first reaction was.. oh no.. we have NO boy stuff... so I have already started buying a few things!! Just a few little outfits, but hey... it's always fun to shop!!! Now I have to get started on picking out the baby bedding!!!! FUN, FUN, FUN!!!

Well Taylor had her very first gymnastics class today!! She did so good and had a BLAST. She kept saying it was her turn and there were 6 kids in her class, so she had to wait for each one to finish before she could go again!! She was very patient though and I really think she will do even better next time. She looked so stinkin' cute in her gym outfit... she even posed for me!! Can't wait to go back next week!!

San San got Taylor this sand table for her birthday!! It came in the other night and Tay forced her daddy to put it together RIGHT away!! WE have been playing outside a lot lately and one day Taylor decided that she needed to sit in this chair out of the blue. I don't know how in the world she remembered that it was in the garage storage room, but she did. She threw a fit to have it. So, she sat in it outside, then brought it inside to sit.... until she got tired of it!! Of the joys of an *almost* 2-year old!!

The weather has been so pretty and cool this past week. We stay outdoors all afternnon/evening after school. Taylor has had lots of fun with her sidewalk chalk. Her daddy drew lots of pictures for her and then she went around and colored them!! She has been real proud of the drawings and thinks that she did it!!

This is how we play in the bathtub now.... by SWIMMING!! Tay loves a bath and she is now wanting to "swim" in the tub every night. We have to bribe her just to get out!! Nonetheless, she is having FUN!!

An evening at the putting green!! Taylor absolutley LOVES to go out here with her daddy. She knows exactly what to do and runs around chasing the balls after james hits. This is our future little golfer!!

I cannot believe Drew is already TWO.. which means Taylor will be TWO in a month!! Time is flying by so fast with us!! Drew had a Cars 2nd Birthday party!! He had so much fun playing with all his toys, and Taylor enjoyed HELPING him open all the presents. She has been talking about her birthday party for quite some time now, so we kept reminding on the way there that is was DREW'S party, not hers!! She understood and I'm so proud of her for being so big!! Now she's ready for her birthday, except her daddy's comes before hers. She keeps naming the people's birthday's before hers and then she will say...... AND THEN IT'S MY BIRTHDAY PARTY!! She totally understands what goes on at a birthday party.. especially the presents, so I think we are in real trouble. I guess it doesn't help that I have been planning her party for 2 months now!! Anyway, we all had a great time at the party and I think Drew had a wonderful birthday!!

Columbus Trip

As usual, we are always rushing around from place to place when we go home. We met my dad, Wanda, Mal, and The McBrayer girls for lunch on Sunday. Taylor and madyson had a big time playing with each other and... running!!! If you know Madyson, you know the energy she has.. well, when Taylor is around Madyson, she is FULL FORCE!! She loves it!!

Poppa is trying to keep all 3 girls under control.. but they seem to keep running off!!

Andrew, Linda, and Drew came home this weekend also. Taylor and Drew have not seen each other since April. They have both changed so much that it was funb to watch them interact!! They are so cute together!!

Busy, Busy, Busy

School has started back!! And that means, mom is back to work and oh so BUSY!! I LOVE my new class at school and I'm really looking forward to another great year!! Taylor has gotten settled in her new class as well and she is LOVING it!! She's such a big girl. It amazes me how much she changes each month. She will be TWO in a month and I really don't know where those years have gone.. but with the new baby coming, I'm trying to spend every free second I get with Taylor!! Enjoy the pics... they are really random!!

Taylor loves to steal your seat if you get up. She makes a "bee line" whenever someone gets out of their chair. Who knows why, but it is always funny and she seems to think she is funny doing it. She stole my seat here, but continued to lay for a while!!

We found this outside in our back yard last week. Taylor wanted to hold it so bad, but I couldn't let her. Whose knows what a turtle will do :) Of course, she had to wear her turtle outfit to school the next day and talk about it non-stop!! She doesn't forget a THING!!

This is another reason we stay soooo busy!! We finally got a golf cart and I can promise you we go for a ride EVERY day!! Taylor absolutely LOVES it and it gets us outside for a while. We live accross the street from the club so this makes it real easy to get to the pool, eat, and of course.. play golf.

Taylor had her very first day of school yesterday also. She is now in the 2-year old room at her school and it will be such a big change from her last classroom. They will learn to walk in line holding a rope, drink from a regular cup(tay can already), and play on the "big" playground!! I know their activiites will be very different from before and I just know that she will learn so much! We are so pleased with her school and so excited that she loves it so much!! Here is a picture of Tay on her first day!!

Cici and Pop came to visit last weekend and Tay just adored her Pop!! He plays real rough with her and she loves it!! She was supposed to be getting ready for bed here, but as you can see... she was wide awake.

Afterf she played so much with her Pop, she got on her daddy's lap and they started telling secrets! Taylor loves to do this, but she has no idea how to whisper. She just makes sounds real soft. I couldn't catch her actually whispering, but she adores her daddy so much that I couldn't pass this one up!

As you can see, Taylor puts anything and everything in the back of her car and rides around. On this particular ride, she had the bug spray in the back and was proud of it!! ha

I know I mentioned earlier that Taylor is really into her babydolls, well this is proof. Last week, she decided that Bella (her doll) needed a nap and she was going to lay with her.... on the kitchen floor to be exact. Notice the food bowl she was pretending to cook and feed Bella from. I am so happy she loves babydolls..... I just hope she continues that!! Atleast she will get some good "mommy" practice before the REAL baby comes!!

Sneak Peek Into Taylor's Everyday Life...

We took Tay to the cheesy parking lot carnival ONLY because everytime we drove by it she squealed because she wanted to go. We had dinner with some friends, and headed over there afterwards. All Tay could talk about during dinner was the carnival, then we get there and this is as far as she got. She SAT on the ride, but wanted off.. and didn't ride a thing!! (I don't blame her.. they may have broken ha)

did i mention that I can't do ANYTHING around the house without Tay wanting to help? this is a GOOD thing but sometimes it's a lot easier to just do it an d get it done without a 22 month old putting everything in the wrong place:)

I cannot tell you how many times a day these two fight!! Taylor hits Kane with anything and everything in sight. He hates it, therefore he runs from her, which she thinks is funny.... so she continues to follow him. We tell her to stop, and she does get in trouble for it, but sometimes it is just too funny to watch!! Kane does love her though, ONLY because she feeds him EVERYTHING she eats. They have a love/hate relationship!!

Yes, FOUR!!! That's the number of people in the Wamble Family now!!! James, Taylor, and I are expecting baby #2 in February!! We are all so excited and cannot wait for this little bundle to be here! WE have really talked to Taylor a lot about how she is the "Big Sis" so that she won't be confused when the time comes. She looks at my ultrasound pics and tells us that's the little baby in mommy's tummy.. so I think she understands!! This is one of the real reasons behind me potty training so fast and wanting it to work. I wanted Tay to be good and potty trained before the baby arrives so she wouldn't go backwards. Well, it was a SUCCESS!! She has done so well and we are so very proud of her! She is such a big girl and she knows it. She is such a good helper and I have started letting her help me with things a little more because you know I will definitley need her help when the baby gets here. I had an ultrasound on Monday (9 wks) and we saw the baby and heard the hearbeat which was WONDERFUL!!! We could even see arms, legs, eyes, and nose, which was amazing for this early on! FYI: This baby has the same nose as Taylor, which is neither mine or James'. That's how well you could see it!!
On another note, I have been feeling A LOT worse this 2nd time around. I'm not sure if it's from chasing taylor around, or just being pregnant, but I did not feel this bad with Taylor. Hopefully that will go away SOON!!!
God has been so great to us and has TRULY BLESSED our family. Please pray that everything continues to go well and we have a healthy Wamble baby in February!!!

CCC Pool

We went to Columbus this past weekend for a golf tournamanet that James plays in every year!! We have not been home in a while, so it was nice to be there. My whole family was there(including my mom) so that was great for Taylor to see all of them. We went to the pool on Saturday and Sunday of the trip and Taylor had so much fun. The baby pool there is more shallow than ours in Hattiesburg, so it was more fun for Taylor to run around.... not to mention they have a huge mushroom that sprouts water...and I had lots of babysitters.. so I got to lay out for once!! It was very nice!! We really enjoyed the weekend and can't wait to do it again next year!!

Taylor's First Boat Ride

Cici has been telling Taylor for a while now that she would take her out on the boat when she came to her house. Well, Taylor has been really fired up about this, so the first morning we were in Columbus.. Taylor got to ride on the boat!! When Taylor really enjoys something, she is really quiet.. and sort of takes it all in. This is how she was on the boat.. and she kept telling Pop to show her the fish!! It was a lot of fun to see her enjoy this so much. To Pop and Cici's surprise, she made them take her to sit on the boat every time they went outside.. and she even rode a few times!!! She loved it at the River house!!!!

Catching Up!!!

We have been really busy this summer. Here are a few of the things that have happened in the last week.
First of all I would like to tell you that we have started potty training!! A sweet friend of mine lent me a 3-day training book that guarantees the child to be fully potty trained after the third day. There are several rules you have to follow and one of them is to throw all diapers away and wear only panties.. well we have done that. The other thing is to stay at home for the full 3 days to allow the child to really go to the potty and not be on the go... well we are doing that as well. Today is day 2 and Taylor is posing below with her "special toy" and big girl panties for doing her "poo" in the potty!! ( i know you wanted to hear that:) This is a very stressfull thing, but I think it will all pay off in the end. I guess we will see after tomorrow!! The funny thing is she had 17 accidents yesterday.. but when daddy got home.. she had only ONE!! AND... she slept all night in panties with NO accidents!! (i'm sure that's just pure luck) Say a prayer that we make it through today and tomorrow... and have success at the end!! I will post the results!!

Taylor is really into her baby dolls right now. Cici bought her another one when she was here last week. I bought her a little carrier for the doll and she LOVES it. She is actually reading to Bella below (Cici named her doll, too) FYI.. we are reading thousands of books a day to Tay, which is a good thing, but very tiresome.. she brings one book after another and says.. READ IT!! She doesn't take no for an answer.. wonder where she gets that from?

Last weekend, we fish sat for a sweet friend of Taylor's, Mary Carter. She has three fish and one of them is named Taylor. ha!! Taylor really enjoyed having them, but may have killed them if she had them any longer, she liked to throw lots of food in there!!

Taylor is also really into coloring at the moment.. and she wants someone to color with her!! Daddy came home from work and was so sweet to sit and color with Taylor.. it sure gives mommy a little break!!

She picks up the crayon and says A color, but it is never the right one. But, we are so proud she knows so many different color words!!

Tay got her hair trimmed last week and my hairdresser said she was finally old enough for the glitter... she loved it and there is STILL a little glitter in her hair after so many washings. It was really cute. We went shopping that day and everyone commented on her cute hair!!

Our beach trip was a blast!! Taylor had so much fun playing with Madyson and Lexi. She loved the fact that she always had someone around to play with and she cried everytime we got in the car to go somewhere because she thought we were going back home. Taylor was NOT a big fan of the ocean, becuase the waves were so loud when they crashed. She did love the sand, though. She played for a long time in the sand without ever touching the ocean. Her daddy, of course, made her go out there with him and they jumped the waves together. She thought that was so much fun.. but after that, she was done!! We stayed at the pool most of the trip, which was better for the kids.

Taylor's School went on a field trip to Kamper Park/Zoo on Friday. The kids had so much fun. It got really hot, but they didn't seem to mind at all. The kids walked the entire time. They rode the train, saw the animals, played on the playground, and had a picnic lunch. We were all worn out by the end of the trip and Tay fell asleep on the way home. She had so much fun with her classmates and is such a big girl. I get to see her true colors when she's around her friends at school, and I have to say that she is a little angel. They all LOVE to do what the others are doing and they are such good friends. I am so happy I got to tag along!!

Last week, Taylor and I headed to the waterpark in Collins with some friends. They had 2 really good "kid friendly" areas where the kids spent most of their time. Each play area had little slides, water fountains, and water toys to play with. They did not allow floaties (and Tay refused to wear the life jacket) so I only got a few pics. I had to stay right on top of her because she thought she could just swim like a fish like she does at the club. She has gotten very good with her floaties and really knows how to float and lick her feet, but without them.... I was a nervous wreck!! The water only came a little past her knees, but she is very brave in the water. She did really well going down the slides, but she had trouble sitting down. She would climb all the way to the top and I would be waiting at the bottom only to have to tell her a thousand times to "sit" and "slide". We had a really fun time and it was nice to be with friends!!!

This was her fist ice cream cone to have all by herself. we give it to her in a cup, but never on a cone... she knew exactly what to do with it!! and she ate every drop.. even the cone!!

Lazy Summer Days

Daddy had the sprinkler going in the front yard so Taylor kept running up to the front steps so she wouldn't get wet!! She thought it was fun to run down, and when the water came around, to run back up..... the joys of being a child!!!

This is Taylor with her friend Miles. They are 3 months a part and we live on the same street. Taylor loves Miles and his big sister, Sara Dabney!!

Putting With Daddy

If you know James, it's no surprise that he has his daughter out on teh putting green at the club. Taylor LOVES golf because her daddy LOVES golf. When we go to the club, she thinks all golfers are her daddy!! All golf carts are her daddy riding on them:) Taylor is actually really good at hitting the ball, maybe because her daddy practices with her... who knows. Last Saturday, late in the evening we took Taylor out to "hit" some balls. She cried when we had to leave because she had so much fun. She had her own clubs out there so it was really fun for her!!

Weekend in Oxford.....

This is how our trip started...... we had a 4 hour car ride on Friday afternoon, and Taylor did great!! She is now watching tv more so it really helped with the trip. The last time we made this trip she was ready to get out as soon as we got in!! Both trips to and from Oxford were really peaceful this time... guess taht is expected with her getting older!!

Taylor is not scared of anything. She is walking on the uneven bridge at the little park. Big kids were coming by and stomping so Taylor just gave them the evil eye and went on her way. She really thinks she is bigger than she is.

Well, we couldn't pull the rebels through this time!!! We are so proud of them for making it that far!! It sure was fun while it lasted. Now, we are ready for FOOTBALL!!!!!
